September 16, 2020: Our September billing has been posted for all accounts and paper bills have been mailed out. Currently, we are experiencing technical difficulties uploading the file to our online payment site for customers to view their new bill and make payments. We are working diligently to resolve this issue for our paperless customers and those who prefer to make their payments online. Though our lobby is currently closed due to COVID-19, West Carteret Water Corporation still offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your remittance slip. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
Payment By Phone
West Carteret Water Corporation offers customers the ability to pay their bill over the phone with either a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card.
Automatic Bank or Credit Card Draft
The worry-free way to pay your water bill! With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account or credit card and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. Once your account is set up on draft, your balance will be deducted on the due date shown on your bill. Our new online bill payment provider encompasses our draft customers. Starting with the January 2019 due date, all draft payments will appear on bank statements with a description of "WEST CARTERET WATE252-393-1515". If for any reason you do not want your account to be drafted once you are set up or your information has changed, you must contact the office 3 business days before the due date. Likewise, if you wish to use a different form of payment, the payment must be made 3 business days before the due date in order to avoid being drafted. To set up Automatic Bank or Credit Card Draft, you can either complete the form online or you can download and fill out the appropriate form located in the Forms & Reports Section and drop it off or mail it to our office. If you choose to sign up for Bank Draft, please remember to include a voided check. If you are having issues making a payment online or wish to terminate your existing draft, please contact our office.
Payment Drop-off Location
Currently, our lobby is closed to visitors; however, payments can be made using our Drive-Thru window during normal business hours or our Overnight Drop Box, which is available 24/7. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.
Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
