Annual Meeting Information & More

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Canceling the Annual Membership Meeting last year was a difficult decision, but our priority will always be the safety of our members, Board, and staff. In 2021, we will hold our meeting later in the year as opposed to May.

Your Board has selected Thursday, October 14th as a tentative date for this year's gathering. Pending guidelines at that time, the location will be either at our facilities or held virtually.

Not knowing if we would be able to meet, the Nominating Committee met in January to discuss any nominations made to the Board. There were three (3) vacancies and three (3) incumbents that expressed an interest in continuing to serve. The Nominating Committee accepted the nominations and no ballot voting will be necessary in 2021. The
incumbents were: Spurgeon Wilson Venters, Steven Pridgen, and Bobby Bell.

COVID-19 PROCEDURE UPDATE EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2021
Although the COVID-19 vaccinations have been made accessible to many in the
community, West Carteret Water Corporation will continue to take precautions as
directed by the CDC, as well as, our local and state authorities. Currently, our office
lobby remains closed, although we anticipate opening in a few months for the
purpose of setting up new services. Until that time, our drive-thru is open for all
business. Face-to-face appointments can be scheduled by calling our office at (252)
393-1515. (Masks required upon entry.)

You are encouraged to visit our website, www.wcwc.biz, to establish a new service,
acquire a form, get the latest company updates, and handle payment options. If you
have not utilized Invoice Cloud, our on-line payment provider, we recommend you do
so. Invoice Cloud allows you to make or schedule a payment, establish a bank or credit
card draft, view past billings, and select email or text billing reminders.

SUMMER YARD MAINTENANCE     Please be careful around meter boxes when using yard equipment.  There is an electronic device attached to the bottom of the meter lid.  Damages to the meter or any of its appurtenances will be charged to the account holder and will reflect on the billing statement.

PENALTIES     In an effort to assist customers during the pandemic, we temporarily suspended late fees.  Beginning May 1st, our penalty schedule, as noted on the reverse side of your billing statement, will resume. However, if you are having challenges, please contact our office, as we can assist on a case-by-case basis.  Payment extensions are available, but should be completed prior to the due date stated on your bill to avoid incurring late fees or possible service interruption.
